1/4″ DIE GRINDER – HIGH SPEED

A die grinder is a hand-held, pneumatically driven power tool. For the tyre repair industry, the die grinder used in many ways. The main two ways are:

1. A carbide cutting drill is attached to the end of the grinder to cleanly drill a hole through the steal chords of the tyre, to prep the puncture to be plugged
2. A buffing rasp/wheel is attached to the end of the grinder and it is used for buffing up the inner liner layer of the tyre to prep the area to perform a puncture repair.

However, a die-grinder can be used to grind, sand, hone, polish, or machine material, typically metal but also plastic or wood. It is a very multi purposed tool and this particular model operates at a very high speed for this reason.
